Daughter started shaving her upper lip for no reason and now she wants me to pay for laser hair removal…?

My 16 year old daughter noticed that she had peach fuzz on her upper lip and arms, LIKE EVERY FEMALE DOES, and she shaved it off. She kept doing this until one day she noticed it was growing back thick and dark. She is now begging me to pay for her to get laser hair removal because she's afraid people are going to notice that she has a "mustache" or "hairy arms".

My husband thinks it's crazy to spend that kind of money on her, especially since I told her not to shave it in the first place! On the other hand, I am a woman and a mother and I know how it feels to be self conscious about something on your body...I just want her to be happy and stop worrying about things like this. Is there anything we can do other than laser hair removal? My sister said that she should let it grow out and then start waxing it so it will start to thin out, but my daughter does not want to let it grow out...I don't know what else to do. Any ideas would be great. Thank you!

i am unapproachable or scary?

ok i'm a 5 10 mixed black cherokee. broad shoulders long arms/legs.
muscular/toned. straight perfect large teeth. caramel skin. dimples. eyes slightly slanted almost always scowling and tight lipped. moody facial features large head/ with broad face. most times shaved head [because i have afraicn american hair] it seems whenever i even look at a women she get this weird look in her eyes. maybe not repulsed but, cautious, scared, or confused. i remenber at an office i looked at this girl and when she saw me looking at her. she acted really nervous and pulled down her skirt to cover her leg. and when in a drive through. this women looked at me wide eyed and avioded talking directly to me and seemed nervous and unknowing. women always seem to look away when they see me or get scared like i'm gonna rob em. damn i even remenber as i kid. i liked this girl and one day in the play ground i chased her around the play ground she seemed to be both scared and happy [because we were playing] but mostly cautios so he hid behind the teacher. i'm dont know why all women act like this around me. i have tried smiling more often that doesn't seem to do anything they still look at me like i'm a convict. but, one time i saw this women and made the come here motion with finger while smiling and she smiled back and was blushing, when minutes before she was acting cautios of me. So should i approach women. i'm the bad boy type. guys has this happened to you. don't say smile more cause i've tried that. don't say its the shaved head cause it isn't. i just wanna know if i should be approaching women. it's not my clothes or facial expression. i mean i have all the physical features that women find attractive. oh, and sometimes girls in groups i hear giggling or talking about me behind my back while i'm in public. can't hear em but, they are definely looking at me. do women like scary but attarctive men. imagine me coming up to flirt with you girls. i dont get it. HELP.

I feel depressed because of a lost cause; having to adhere to what society accepts as right for each gender..?

(Just describing my concepts)
Sometimes I think that I should just forget about it, but that thought leaves me even more depressed. I just hate how people, especially women, do all sorts of personally undesirable things to themselves just so they can fit in with society. Like keeping longer hair, for example. I feel like some women force themselves to keep longer hair, just so society accepts them. I have no problem with personal choice, its just that this becomes a problem of gender inequality, since the 'maintenance costs' of longer hair are much more than shorter, more so shaved hair.

Some jobs may become easier, more convenient or it may be an advantage if one maintains shorter hair, but if a woman wants to get this job, she doesn't allow herself to sacrifice societal embarrassment for this advantage which could cost her a promotion or personal comfort.

I mean, modern day life doesn't demand for shorter hair for men for most of the jobs available, though society still continues to refuse to rid itself of this nonsense. Uniforms are another botheration, for girls its always the skirts and nothing else. Maybe some may feel more comfortable wearing pants but nooo. Its not just girls, boys have to have their hair short and don't really have a choice.

It's not just the hair on the head but also the problem of society wanting women to wax themselves, basically everywhere, which costs much more than just the shaving that men do, though some don't even bother or are too lazy to do so. The hair above the upper lip is a natural on women as it is on men when they hit puberty. Again,I have no problem with personal choice, just the unfair 'demands' that society puts up.

Also, all the offensive terms to insult someone's promiscuity is directed to women ( I know this has to do with misconceptions/prejudice and what not but I'm trying to make a point); if a woman decides to be a little promiscuous she is considered a 'slut'/(other related offensive terms) but on the other hand a guy's promiscuity is even 'applauded'. I mean its in our human nature to have such desires, man or woman, otherwise we'd be extinct. Because of this prejudice some families of some communities even throw the female out if she is discovered to have been promiscuous ( physical signs of pregnancy) while the man can hide whatever he 'does' and even if he admits to doing it, it's no big deal to them. Also, they may tend to be ignorant and not teach them about prevention and contraception because they think its unlikely because they 'didn't do it' and it should anyways be a repressed and taboo matter ( in these communities that I was talking about)

Lastly, for some reason, it's such a big deal if women expose their breasts. A girl can also look 'slutty'. Even if she tries to drive a boy wild through some 'moves', she's a slut. I mean men can't do anything to sexually attract women, or at least men think that it's not their 'job' to do something like that and society has kinda accepted it to be the woman's job to turn on the man with some 'moves'.

And, women's breasts are just fat tissue naturally meant only to nurse the infant. They have nothing to do with copulation, society has kinda made that happen. So, why is it a crime for them to 'expose' them? Trying to keep them from hanging and shaking about is still understandable in sporting events, since it may come in the way and other events where it may be a distraction.

I'm not trying to preach anything here, I'm simply trying to elaborate the concepts I have and how I can just not be so depressed about it, though a little support may help. I'm 16 this year, male if that helps.

Constructive critisism on my story…?

I'm nearly done with this story, and I would love to have some feedback! Here is a little excerpt of the story:
Why the f**k do people keep coming up to me and asking for a hug? They're all girls and I don't know any of them which makes it more weird.

"It's because you look like a sad emo kid, Danny." I look up from my chipped fingernails to glare at my best friend Frankie.

"I'm not sad, I'm f**king depressed, and that doesn't f**king mean that I want a hug from random 13 year old girls who want to hug the 'sad little emo kid'" I spit bitterly. Well I guess if you're wondering, Frankie has grown to know pretty much what I'm thinking as we've been friends since middle school. Frankie sighs and starts texting away on her phone, most likely tired of my depressed state. I know she's waiting for me to get back to normal, happy, crazy Danny, but he disappeared 5 months ago when Blake died. Blake was my boyfriend, we were together for two years and we were in love. There wasn't anything I wouldn't do for him, and vice versa. On December 30th at 11:30am, Blake and I ventured out into the crisp winter morning on a leisurely walk to our favorite spot, an old bridge in an abandoned neighborhood. Blake always said that it was an incredibly romantic spot, and one day he even took a picture of us kissing on the bridge and drew it later, giving it to me as a gift. Anyway…we went and sat at the bridge like we always did, kissing, talking, laughing. I remember vividly what he looked like on that morning. His brown hair with blond highlights swept across his forehead under the santa hat he wore, his big brown eyes looked f**king gorgeous when the light hit them, his nose was a little red from the cold temperature, and his full lips were the perfect shade of pink. I also remember that he shaved that morning before we went out, and that I couldn't stop myself from touching his face. That particular morning he looked so much like Alex Gaskarth it was insane.

"Baby?" he asks quietly, eyes fixated on his drawing pad.

"Hmm?" I nuzzle into his side and close my eyes.

"I'm really hungry." I laugh and move away from him. A long time ago he established that I was the "woman" in our relationship, and that whenever he's hungry I should bow to his every wish and make him however much food he could stuff in his mouth. Sometimes I would oblige, but I mean I'm a man too. He could make food for me too!

"Get your ass back to your house and make something to eat then." He sticks out his tongue, looking up briefly at the trees and such before looking down and drawing again.

"I can't go anywhere now, If I leave this spot my drawing won't turn out good. Pleeease?" God, begging is so damn hot on Blake. I smile mischievously and start kissing and biting the sensitive spot on his neck, earning a soft moan from him. He can't help it, once I found that spot it was like finding gold at the end of the rainbow, it gets him every single time.

"Damnit Danny stop it. And I'm f**kinggg hungry." I continue to kiss his weak spot until he lets out a loud sigh and turns his head to me.

"Danny…" he whines, leaning his forehead on mine. I take his hand in mine, knowing I've got his full attention.

"Blake," I murmur back.

"Please get me something to eat? I'll do anything if you get your ass in my kitchen."

"If you make out with me I think I'll get you some food." Blake laughs and closes his eyes, leaning into me.

"Deal." We start kissing, it's slow and amazing and I don't want it to end, but I break away laughing when Blake's stomach grumbles loudly.

"I'll be back, kay? I love you." Blake kisses me and gives me a tight hug before pulling away.

"I love you too baby."

Ah sh*t, I'm crying now and I haven't even gotten to the worst part. As I was on my way back to bring food to Blake, I had the worst feeling in the pit of my stomach. I cautiously approached the bridge, confused when I didn't see Blake. Even though I felt like something was horribly wrong, I still expected that he was going to jump out from behind and wrap his arms around me. I called out his name, started to panic, and that's when I noticed it. There was a noticeable dent on the bridge railing, and when I looked down that's when my vision got fuzzy and I could barely hear myself scream. The only reason I didn't jump down there beside Blake was because my legs were two pieces of led and they refused to leave the pavement once I had fallen. The only thing I could think was that the love of my life was lying motionless under the bridge.

He was dead.

I remember the first thing I said to the paramedic was, "He was hungry." After that, I

Why do women often not notice they have mustaches? Moustache Fever!!!?

Beautiful and the not so beautiful women all over the world, a new illness is spreading. It's name? MUSTACHE FEVER...symptoms? Hairy upper lip, with occasional hairy chin or neck.

Is there a cure? Yes you're very lucky there is! Wax, and lots of it is the preferred cure, but tweezers will do the job as well. If you have no other way to cut your mustache/beard, use a razor until you can get wax but don't shave over and over, it will come back thicker and fuller than ever before. Waxing is the best. If you have lots of money ELECTROLYSIS will ensure pesky mustache hairs never come back again!

Why is it that women my age (25) and even younger women, walk around with Mustaches? Men notice facial hair very easily and it's a huge turn off to most if not all men.

Why don't women tell other women they have a mustache.

There is this 17 year old girl who works at a grocery store in my town. She is blonde, beautiful, has a great body and she has a MUSTACHE! a very thick one.

Like can't someone kindly say, look hun, you have a mustache and it's quite thick and thicker than alot of mens, you should consider waxing it or since there is way too much to tweeze.

She works with women and has women friends I'm sure, so why don't they let her know? Are they too afraid or what?

I'm definitely not going to tell her since I think it would be rude as a man who doesn't know her to do this. So women!

Band together and abolish the mustache! It's unsightly and you'll never get a man if you have one, unless he's a) blind b) drunk 24/7 and doesn't notice c) insane d) not sure if he wants a man or woman.

Good luck! and please look at yourself in the mirror for signs of Mustach Fever. Should you notice hairs, tweeze or wax them off, shave if you have to! Just get them away!!!! Do something! anything!

The human race depends on you women. If you have a mustache, there will be no normal men willing to procreate with you. Then the human race will collapse!!!

And much love to all women who take care of their extra body hair issues.

Also CHIN FUZZ IS EQUALLY AS GROSS AND A TURN OFF OF HUGE PROPORTIONS! NECK FUZZ TOO! EVEN IF IT"S BLEACHED OR BLONDE JUST GET RID OF IT! please...
